The Calidore String Quartet is one of the most accomplished young chamber ensembles on the platform today. This group, formed in 2010, comes back to the Washington area this weekend, to play a concert 3 p.m. Sunday in the Barns at Wolf Trap.

In keeping with artistic director Wu Han’s Vienna theme for this season, the group is playing two major string quartets from the classical period. Haydn’s String Quartet in G major, Op. 77, no. 1, will be followed by Mozart’s Quartet in D Major, the first in the set nicknamed the “Prussian” quartets.

Finnish pianist Juho Pohjonen joins the ensemble for the second half, devoted to Beethoven’s Piano Trio in G Major, Op. 1, no. 2. wolftrap.org; 703-255-1900
