Mayumi Sakamoto

The concert series at the historic Evermay estate in Georgetown, founded by biotech moguls Sachiko Kuno and Ryuji Ueno in 2012, is presenting concerts again, after a two-year hiatus. Prize-winning Japanese pianist Mayumi Sakamoto performs a recital 7 p.m. Thursday, with the fantasia as organizing principle.

The program includes examples of the genre by Mozart, Chopin and Schumann, plus Liszt’s electrifying Après une lecture du Dante—Fantasia quasi sonata. The ticket price includes receptions before and after the performance.
