The Shriver Hall Concert Series has announced its lineup for the 2018-2019 season. Highlights include a concert by the Pacifica Quartet, in their Baltimore debut, with virtuoso pianist Marc-André Hamelin; the Baltimore recital debut of English pianist Imogen Cooper; and pianist Piotr Anderszewski playing Beethoven’s Diabelli Variations.

Shriver Hall’s addition of historical performance ensembles in recent years continues, with a concert of mostly Handel arias with soprano Joélle Harvey and the Baroque specialist orchestra Arcangelo. Other performers on the subscription series include Pinchas Zukerman’s piano trio, violinist Jennifer Koh and pianist Shai Wosner, and the Hagen Quartet with clarinetist Jörg Widmann.

Performers on the Discovery Series of free concerts also sponsored by Shriver Hall include the Rolston String Quartet and the Harlem Quartet. New or recent works by living composers Thomas Adès, Gabriela Lena Frank, Marc-André Hamelin, Vijay Iyer, R. Murray-Schafer, and Jörg Widmann will be featured at various concerts throughout the season.

As announced last month, the renovations at Shriver Hall itself, originally forecast to be concluded this summer, will extend into the next calendar year. At the present time, the first concert scheduled for the reopened venue will be the recital of cellist Johannes Moser and pianist Till Fellner on March 3, 2019. shriverconcerts.org; 410-516-7164
