Critic’s Choice
This weekend is shaping up to be an operatic one, with the week’s most attractive musical events happening in close succession. First, Virginia Opera stages Benjamin Britten’s delightful A Midsummer Night’s Dream, for the first time in the company’s history. Talented artistic director Adam Turner conducts a cast starring soprano Heather Buck as Tytania and countertenor Owen Willetts as Oberon.
