With the shutdown of the federal government at an end, the potentially affected music venues are breathing a sigh of relief. At the Kennedy Center the Fortas Chamber Music Concerts series hosts the rising Calidore String Quartet, playing two of its specialty composers, with quartets by Haydn (“The Lark”) and Brahms (Op. 51, no. 1), 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Terrace Theater. The highlight is a chance to hear the Officium breve in Memoriam Andreae Szervánszky by Hungarian composer György Kurtág, a living legend. kennedy-center.org; 202-467-4600.
