JoAnn Falletta will conduct the National Symphony Orchestra’s July 28 program at Wolf Trap. She replaces NSO music director designate Gianandrea Noseda, who withdrew from his appearance to recuperate from surgery for a herniated disc.

Music director of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra and the Virginia Symphony Orchestra, Falletta last appeared with the Orchestra in 2005 at Wolf Trap.

Also, soprano Amy Owens will make her NSO debut in this concert, filling in for the previously announced Heidi Stober, who has withdrawn due to a knee injury.

The program remains the same with Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana and pianist Seong-Jin Cho as soloist in Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 5.
