Celebrate the end of the federal government shutdown with the first free concert at the National Gallery of Art since the museum reopened its doors this week. The Trio Valtorna—French horn player David Jolley, violinist Ida Kavafian, and pianist Gilles Vonsattel—will perform two works for that unusual combination of instruments. Sandwiched between John Harbison’s Twilight Music and the Brahms Horn Trio will be Ravel’s Violin Sonata No. 2. Performance time is 3:30 p.m. Sunday. nga.gov
